Initial Brief: the Brief and Initial Ideas

The first option we could choose from to work on this year was a promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:

• a website homepage for the band


• a cover for its release as part of a digipak (CD/DVD package)


• a magazine advertisement for the digipak

We chose to make a website homepage and a cover for its release as part of digipak in order to develop a broader range of skills throughout media studies. We also didn't want to make a trailer for a movie as it would have been very close to what we made in terms of last year.

Our initial ideas consisted a rap song and use of costumes, and to make the video funny and joking about serious rap videos by making ours a joke, however this idea is very broad.
